Winter in America is cold. For the first time temperatures in the low 70's.
Voor het eerst temperaturen onder de 20 graden. Brrrrr!

Aqeeqah

Laura Fatima's aqeeqah was done in India. Aqeeqah refers to the animal slaughtered as a sacrifice for a newborn child. It is so named because the animal’s throat is cut during the sacrifice. It is an expression of thanks and gratitude to Allah for the gift.

We hebben van een aantal van jullie vragen gekregen over Laura Fatima's haar. Naar Islamitisch gebruik hebben we haar haren afgeknipt (wordt overigens in veel culturen gedaan omdat het goed voor de haargroei is). Het groeit alweer snel aan. Ze vond het wel prima met het warme weer hier.
